The Pillar Path is an exploration of verticality in the landscape. A series of sculptural pillars are used to define boundaries and create aSense of mystery. The path winds through a variety of planting zones—from structural hedges to wilder, meadow-like areas—providing a rich diversity of experiences within a modest footprint. The project demonstrates how architectural elements can be used to structure a garden and create a cohesive narrative between the home and its immediate surroundings.
The core design concept revolves around the rhythmic placement of glowing, pillar-like bollards that flank the walkway, acting as guiding beacons through the serene outdoor space. This deliberate interplay of ambient light, linear hardscaping, and carefully curated greenery creates a tranquil transition zone, transforming the approach into a calm, meditative journey.
